On the 23rd March 2011, MTS were very fortunate to be the beneficiaries of a special fund raising event. Rotary Club of Cork, Bishopstown Branch, who have been very kind to MTS in the past arranged a special preview evening of a show, in conjunction with Haulbowline Theatre Group,  that was running in the Theatre that week. The response that Rotary received to this event was spectacular and the very full house enjoyed an amazing night of theatre and all for our very good cause!

A special word of thanks to Noel Somers, President of Bishopstown Rotary for agreeing to take on this fantastic fundraising effort and a particular mention for Patrick Cotter, his energy and drive helped to make the evening a wonderful success!

Thanks also to Patrick’s brother Denis Cotter of Haulbowline Theatre Group. He both starred on the night and was instrumental in getting us the full theatre and cast for the night totally free of charge!  It truly is a wonder how kind and generous people can be to our fantastic organisation. We really appreciate it so much.

A figure of €5,000 was raised and was presented to MTS on 8th June 2011.
